A little freebie
We've got a little freebie for you today, just the thing if you've a bit of chunky yarn to use up.
I don't generally go for strong variegated or hand-painted yarn except for socks, but a bright flash of something here would be lovely, especially if like me you tend towards more sombre tones for your winter wardrobe. I won't pretend it's the most practical accessory every designed. You may well be a hat purist, and take the view that if it's not cold enough for a hat, then bare-headed you will go. But there are, I know, many of us who will wear a knit accessory for what it says about us, and who enjoy the quickish little knit confections, and who will find the season that is right for wearing a little head-kerchief.

adorable! I like that the edge looks almost like a hat. It's perfect for the rainy misty weather we have here in the northwest. Not hat enough for hat head, and just enough to keep the rain off and avoid the frizzies. Thank you!

Lovely. Also great for people like me with voluminous amounts of hair that tends to distort hats.
